you must have. Hopefully you have started to focus you efforts
already.

Today's email will talk about "Time Management". This is a big one
so try to pay close attention. This will save you a lot of time and
wasted effort. With "Time Management" your projects will finally

"The secret to online success part 2"

-Time Management-

Time management seems like a simple concept. You just designate a
specific amount of time each day for working on your project. Well,
this is were most people go wrong!

How many times have you started working on a project during your
designated working time and become side tracked. Don't deny it;
this happens to even the most dedicated internet marketers.

You start working and the next thing you know you are surfing the
web. It may seem like you are working because you are reading up on
your project or related topics. But the next thing you know, you
have spent all of your designated working time surfing and have not
really gotten any quality work done.

This used to happen to me all the time. I could spend a whole day
surfing around, coming up with new ideas for making profits. But at
the end of the day what meaningful work has really gotten done?
None.

The answer to this problem is to be specific in you time management
and absolutely stick to the plan. If you need time to read up on
your project, designate 30 minutes to doing so. But once 30 minutes
is up, you must move on to the next thing on your list.

Whether you have 1 hour, 3 hours, 6 hours or more, you must be
specific and stick to your schedule.

Here is my schedule on the day I wrote this email:

Total time: 6 hours

8:00 - 8:30 Respond to emails, check affiliate stats
8:30 - 9:00 Analyze and tweak AdWords campaigns
9:00 - 10:00 Write "Time Management" email for Google Profits mini
course
10:00 - 11:00 Research for Google Profits 2008 updated version
11:00 - 1:00 Write Google Profits 2008 updated version
1:00 - 1:30 Buy domain name for new project, begin site design
1:30 - 2:00 Write schedule for tomorrow

When running though my schedule during the day, I make sure to
switch my activity exactly at the time I have specified. If I am
writing an email for the Google Profits mini course and I am still
not finished after the one hour allotted, I will move on to the
next activity. I will then schedule in a half hour tomorrow to
finish the email.

One thing I will do if I am working on something that does not
require the Internet, such as writing this email, is disconnecting
my computer from the Internet. I sometimes even break out some old
fashion tools, pen and paper. Doing this keeps me focused on the
task at hand at keeps me from the temptation to surf the Internet.

Speaking of time management. My allotted hour for writing this
email is almost over. So I will finish these last few sentences,
quickly scan for spelling and grammar errors, send the email off to
you guys, and move onto the next thing on my list.

I really hope you got the idea of "Time Management", this is super
important if you want to become a success online.

End of lesson #6.
